The Hermann Story: In Sonneberg, a small German Town surrounded by deep woods, hills and lovely valleys, Bernhard Hermann started his family business more than 90 years ago. Together with his three sons, he made Teddy Bears and soft toys of highest workmanship.
Today, Bernhard Hermann's granddaughters continue the family tradition, and his motto to bring joy and happiness into a child's life is as vivid now as it has always been.

Aotearoa means "the land of the long white cloud" or New Zealand. In a quiet, green, tucked-away spot is Oakdale Farm, the home of the international award-winning Robin Rive Hug.
After over 30 years in business we are very proud that all Robin Rive's limited edition soft collectables, bears and gollys are all still 100% designed and made in New Zealand, even down to the clothes. This gives us complete control over quality and although each face in an edition looks the same, hand-stuffing and hand embroidery give each bear its own special character.

In 1996, British bear artist Deborah Canham opened her own design company dedicated to producing fine mohair bears and other hand sculpted soft characters, from miniature to BIGger, in numbered limited editions for the collectibles market. Every piece, whether a bear or other animal, is designed and created with the same originality and attention to fine detail that is expected from D.C.A.D.
Every D.C.A.D. item comes with a hang tag stating his/ her name, the name of the collection it belongs to, its number in the edition and bears the artist's signature.
