Joxy Bears
My name is Jo Symon and I have been a collector of bears for many years. After buying my first kit I got the 'bear making bug' and have been designing and hand sewing my own bears since August 2004. As a dog lover and painter it was inevitable that I would soon begin to make a collection of dogs too and have been designing and making Joxy Dogs since the beginning of 2005.
The Vintage Magpie - Nicky Fraser
My love of bear-making started with making bears for my children and has grown into a business over the past four years. I now work from my little studio in Devon, on the edge of Dartmoor. My love of the past is my inspiration when I am making my bears, and I love to give them the time-worn look, like they have been discovered in the attic after being forgotten for years! My bears and rabbits are a treasure for today and an heirloom for tomorrow.
Keuns & Bears
I started bearmaking at the end of 2002. I made three of them and tried some rabbits (=keun)....Now I make wacky creatures. It feels good when my little bears make people laugh.
About the Sptnks: they are strange little creatures that have mutated from an old teddybear that was left in space by the russian sputnik in 1957.
About myself: I am 47 and I live with my husband, 18year-young daughter, an airedale terrier and a landturtle in Oostende. (Belgium, by the sea) I love bare feet in the grass, metal boxes with pencils, Lewis from the Morse-series, Catcher in the Rye, Nirwana and David Byrne, pasta with lots of parmesan, large airedale-noses and beary people.
Gregory Gyllenship
Some of the finest made and most sought after artist bears available.
Gregory aspires to the highest standards in his bear making but stubbornly maintains that ultimately he judges the success of a bear by the life it acquires through its expression and posture rather than any particular technique involved during its creation.
Gregory works rather slowly producing around 100 bears each year.
Anna Hoo
Anna Hoo fashion designer by education and occupation started making bears in 1991 when she wanted to make a window dressing for her shop where she sold ladies haute couture. The window she wanted to create was the old fashioned style of Christmases gone by with old antique dolls and bears to complement the silk evening gowns she designed and made.
As she is a collector of antique dolls she had no problem with finding the dolls for the window, she could take them from her own collection.
But finding an old bear that was not so very easy to do, so she had no choice but to make one herself - that is how she started.
We are the exclusive stockist in the UK.
Petal Originals
Wonderful and very original Gollies made by the new artist Elaine Goodhand. She was inspired to make these by her mother, Dee, who read her Golly stories as a child.
Beatrix Bears
Beatrix bears are made by the artist Beatrix Harries, often using steelshot pellet fillings and glass eyes.. Most of her bears are one of one editions.

Tonni Bears
I get a lot of help from my husband Reinder, he does a lot of drawing, helps with the stuffing from the arms and legs. As you probable all know I make everything by myself including the clothes but sometimes my mom will come over to my place to help me. My bears have not changed a lot over the years because they never lost their “old look” which is also due of the fact that Reinder and I love old and antique things. We are always on the search for “old things” for our own display but mostly for the bears.
Rosee de Lune
Created by Francoise Fabre, who has been making bears since 1997 and only started exhibiting and selling her her work in 2003. She lives in Montpelier in Southern France where her husband runs a wonderful antique shop
