This delightful character made her appearance in the book The Tailor of Gloucester™ first published in 1903. The Tailor of Gloucester™ was Beatrix Potter's own favourite among all her books. The story is set in "the time of swords and periwigs and full-skirted coats." While toiling in his shop one Christmas season, the Tailor looked up from his work to see a lady mouse dressed in finery peeking around a cup on the sideboard! She shyly curtsied before hopping down and disappearing under the wainscot."

Measuring a diminutive 3" tall, Lady Mouse™ is made of the finest mohair plush and is jointed at the neck and shoulders. She features realistic coloring, hand embroidered features, black glass eyes, inset whiskers, resin hands and feet, and a leather tail.

Based exactly on the Beatrix Potter illustrations, Lady Mouse™ is beautifully outfitted in a period costume consisting of a quilted silk underskirt and dress tailored out of custom printed miniature floral fabric. She wears a cotton batiste mob cap and dainty apron trimmed with delicate lace and on her feet, incredible tiny high heel slippers! No detail has been overlooked in bringing this charming Beatrix Potter™ character to life! Lady Mouse™ joins the previously-released Mouse Tailor from the same book.

Lady Mouse™ will be produced in a limited edition of just 300 pieces worldwide. She will come inside a deluxe R. John Wright presentation box with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity and the forms for owner registration. Subject to availability, the matching-number service will be provided to the corresponding Gentleman Mouse™ or previous pieces in the Beatrix Potter™ collection.
